DOG WASTE REMOVAL SERVICE


WELCOME TO THE SCOOPY DOO FAMILY! Scoopy Doo will come to your home and remove the dog waste at whatever frequency you subscribe to (daily, x times per week). We are contracted to clean GRASS AREAS and it is up to the customer to inform us if there are non-grass areas the dog goes on, such as patios, decks, and/or dirt areas. 

We have a minimum service charge of $24 per visit. All pricing is based on a yard size up to 1/8th of an acre. Larger yards will have an additional charge.  Also, prices may increase based on the breeds and sizes of your dogs. Scoopy Doo does have a first time clean up fee of $55 per 5 gallon bucket, so we can properly start regular maintenance of your yard.

 

ACCESSING YOUR YARD

We ask customers to please make sure that Scoopy Doo has access to your pick-up areas and that it is safe for our technicians. Please ensure that no aggressive dogs are in the yard on the day/time of scooping. This can be accomplished through our 'on the way" text notifications. We will always ensure your gate is closed and locked prior to leaving. A text with a "secured gate" picture of us exiting the premises is taken at every site and can requested. Please ensure that your gate is in full working condition and accessible to our technician at the time of service. If we come to your house and cannot access your yard due to a locked gate or if your dog will not allow us in, we will skip your visit for that day and try again on your next scheduled day. You will still be charged for the skipped visit.

WINTER POLICY

The winter months present unique challenges to our dedicated poop-scoopers, We love to keep your yard clean and regularly maintained, but there are necessary adjustments we have to make during this time of year. Our winter policy has been in effect for 25 years now, and we find that it’s an effective method for Scoopy Doo and our customers.


Our trucks will go out on cold days, although if there is a deep freeze or dangerously cold conditions we will suspend service for that day.. If there is snow or freezing rain on your regularly scheduled day, we will scoop you on your next scheduled pick-up. Also, in the event of a nor’easter with gale-force winds above 25 mph, we will be forced to call in our scoopers for their safety.

Please note: If your scheduled day is skipped due to a winter storm or unsafe conditions, there are no credits given because the next time we come there will be twice the amount of poop, so the workload stays the same.


If poop is hidden in the snow or frozen to the ground, we can’t pick it up. It will be removed (weather permitting) on your next scheduled pick-up. Once a storm has passed, please make sure that all access to your yard is cleared of debris or snow so that we can enter safely. If there is no path to your yard, we will have to skip your pick-up until your next scheduled day (you will still be charged for the visit). Also, sometimes the latches on fence-gates will freeze shut. We do not force them open for fear of breaking the latch or letting a dog loose.


We are aware that dogs often change their patterns during the snowy months. Our scoopers will do their best to adjust to these pattern changes and scoop the accessible areas in your yard where your dog was able to go.  Many pets will use the deck or patio instead of the yard.  Poop can freeze to cement or wood of a deck, and it can be more difficult to extract (we don’t want to damage your property in the process). In such cases, we may have to wait until it thaws. If you have to change the area entirely (i.e.: from the backyard to the front yard), please call 516-676-0083 or email the office (Info@ScoopyDooNY.com) to inform us and we’ll change the scooping instructions.


In the event that you want to be put on hold for the winter months, you must call or email the office the minimum 3 days prior to your scoop day to inform us.  Please be advised that there will be a Spring Clean-up fee upon your re-start – and most winter accumulations can exceed ten buckets of waste, which gets expensive. Once you go on hold, the customers that stayed with us during the winter months will have priority clean-ups when the snow melts. For that reason, we don’t recommend putting your account on hold. The fact is, our standard winter policy works in your favor.


Also, please note: Scoopy-Doo WILL BE ON WINTER HIATUS for the week between CHRISTMAS DAY and NEW YEARS DAY.  There will be no scooping and the office will be closed, from December 25 to January 1. Billing will continue on a regular basis, as there will be twice as much scooping the following week.

 

LEAVES, DEBRIS AND TALL GRASS

We understand that maintaining your yard is a lot of work and you might fall behind. We do our best to ensure that we clean your yard to our exceptional standards. We urge you to keep in mind that locating dog poop can be difficult when your grass is tall or your yard is full of leaves or other debris. If we can't see it, it may get left behind, which nobody wants.

 

INCLEMENT/RAINY WEATHER

Scoopy Doo will work through the rain and cold as long as we can safely do so. We cannot work through severe thunderstorms, flooding or an accumulation of snow. Scoopy Doo is a subscription service. We do not offer refunds or credits for missed weeks due to weather as we will still pick up all of the poop as soon as it’s safe and accessible. We also do not want to damage your yard in any way. If it is really muddy, we may skip your yard and wait until the next scheduled visit when things have dried out.


HOLIDAYS

Scoopy Doo recognizes New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day as holidays that we do not provide service. If your pick-up day falls on one of those holidays, we will skip that week and will pick-up the following week. There are no refunds or credits for missed pick up as we still have to do the work and pick up all of the poop after the holiday and the week between Christmas Day and New Years Day.

 

BILLING

Scoopy Doo LTD bills monthly for our service. Upon entering your credit card, you are authorizing Scoopy Doo LTD to start service and charge your account accordingly. Your account will be charged monthly in the beginning of the month. If your card does not go through upon the first attempt, you will be emailed and the charge will be tried again the following day. If the charge still does not go through, it will be tried again in 72 hours giving you time to resolve the issue. If the card is declined on the third try, the service will be discontinued until payment is made. If more than 30 days has passed since your last clean up, a first time clean up fee will apply. If you cancel before the end of the billing period, no refunds will be issued.

Gated Communities ($4 per visit)

Gravel or stone areas ($4 per visit)

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

You can cancel at any time by giving Scoopy Doo a 3 business days notice via email or calling our office.. If you cancel before the end of the billing period, no refunds will be given.


SERVICE HOLDS

You may put your service on hold provided you give Scoopy Doo 3 business days written notice.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

Your information is for Scoopy Doo LTD use only. We will never sell your information or send it to third parties.

 

REVISIONS

We may revise these terms of use at any time by amending this page. Please check this page from time to time and take notice of any changes, as they are binding. Some of the provisions contained in these terms of use may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on our site.
